Alain Huck, Ancholia
On the occasion of his Ancholia exhibition, Alain Huck worked on four monumental charcoal drawings (each one measured 2140 x 3170 mm). In order to bring a new interpretation of this work, the book proposes to show these drawings at scale 1:1 as you flick through the pages. So instead of having an overview of each drawing at a glance, you get to see fragments of it, based on a movement going from left to right, up and down. The book also shows a text from the artist, actually made up of 82 excerpts from other books — their references can be found in the next section of the book, where the layout echoes the first section
